What's For Dinner?

We bought a seven lbs. whole chicken last week. So I wanted to try my friend's roasted chicken recipe. It took me two and a half hours to finish this very delicious recipe. The meat was very tender and flavorful. I had celery, spring onions, and sweet onion as the stuffing plus half of a tablespoon of salt. I put butter and seasoning all over the chicken skin. My husband loved it. We had a great dinner with lettuce wedge as appetizer. He took the breast part this morning for lunch to work. Hmmm, I wonder why it is his favorite part?

Running A Red Light

Oh my God, I failed to stop in a red light! After having my interview yesterday, I was thinking a lot of things. Will I be hired? Will they call me again for the good news? Did I impress the panel interviewers? These questions bothered me while driving back home. I tried to avoid the highways so I was decided to use the back roads. Long Interview On The Phone

I was so happy I got a call from the bank which I applied a week ago. I was told by the human resources coordinator to wait for 7-10 days that is if they will consider me for the position. The last days, I have been eagerly waiting for this call and I have this feeling that I can proceed to the next hiring process considering I passed the skill test, got great score and passed the initial interview. While browsing my friends' blogs, my cell phone rang. Looking at my screensaver, it was not a registered number on my phonebook. Then I heard a woman's voice on the other line telling me about my application from the bank. I was so happy because it means I am close to being hired. When I told my husband about this, he said a second interview is a good sign that they are interested in the applicant. And so the phone interview started. She asked so many questions which I did not anticipate but I confidently answer them as best as I can even though deep inside I was nervous. A New Job Offer

I got a call this morning from the staffing agency offering me a new job assignment. It will only be for a month and I will be doing the admin/clerical duties. It took me awhile to grab the book "Memories of Midnight" by Sidney Sheldon. It was just sitting in our center table untouched. I should have returned this book weeks ago but I was preoccupied with lots of things. I got addicted to blogging and reading my friends' blogs. Aside from blogging, a shopaholic friend of mine always give me a call in the morning and wants my company to go malling, eat out, and I can't say no because I enjoy doing these things also. Hehehe.

The plot of Memories of Midnight takes off from the ending of The Other Side of Midnight, where Catherine Douglas is recovering in a convent. The outside world believes that she has been murdered by her husband, Larry, and his mistress Noelle Page. While in actuality, she has had amnesia, and has been placed in this convent by shipping tycoon billionaire Constantin Demiris. Catherine request a need to see the world outside the convent. This request is acceeded by the Sister of the convent, but only after getting the approval of their mentor Constantin Demiris. He sees that she is taken out and placed in London with a job in one of his various offices there. Meanwhile, anyone who comes to know that Catherine is alive is getting killed...

Sidney Sheldon has created a book with twists and turns which I really like. Catherine is an ideal heroine. The book will have you turning page after page, rushing to get to the conclusion. It will give you a suspenseful entertainment. It's a story of love & passion, betrayal, revenge, and murder. The antagonist character is what I like best. He is so smart in plotting his plans and revenge. I know this is a very old book published in the 90's but I recommend this to those who have not read the book. It's a wonderful novel.

Our First Valentines Celebration

It took me an hour to get beautiful, put some make up, curled my hair and trying for a new look for this very special occasion. I was very hungry already while waiting for my lovey dovey from work. It's our first Valentines together. I remember last year, my thoughtful fiance who is already my hubby sent me some online gifts. Our Honey-Glazed Baked Ham Recipe

We have ham feast today. We got this 12 lbs. ham on sale a week ago. Hubby did the preparation, baking, slicing and I did all the tasting and eating. I think it's fair since I'm the chef on weekdays. It's my day off today. LoL. Anyway, we tried our version of honey-glazed baked ham and it turned out to be flavorful and delicious. The recipe is very simple.

whole of half half, ready to eat

brown sugar

pineapple chunks and pineapple juice

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Place the ham in a baking pan.

Cover the ham generously brown sugar.

Add pineapple junks and juice for more flavor.

Bake 12 minutes per pound, (we baked it for 2 hours).

You can add brown sugar after every 30 mins.

That's it, very easy.

After anthropologist Susan McKinley came back home from an expedition in South America , she noticed a very strange rash on her left breast. Nobody knew what it was and she quickly dismissed it believing that the holes would leave in time.

Upon her return she decided to see a doctor after she started developing intense pains. The doctor, not knowing the exact severity of the disease, gave her antibiotics and special creams. As time lapsed the pain did not subside and her left breast became more inflamed and started to bleed.

She decided to bandage her sores however as Susan ' s pain grew more intense she decided to seek help from a more certified doctor. Dr. Lynch could not diagnose the infection and told Susan to seek the aid of one of his colleagues who specialized in dermatology whom was sadly on vacation. She waited for two weeks and finally was able to react the dermatologist.

Sadly, a life-changing event was about to unfold during her appointment.

To Miss McKinley ' s surprise, after she removed the bandages, they found larva growing and squirming within the pores and sores of her breast.

Sometimes these wicked creatures would all together simultaneously move around into different crevices. What she didn ' t know was that the holes were in fact, deeper than she had originally thought for these larvae were feeding off the fat, tissue, and even milk canals of her bosom.

I have been here for almost a year now. With nothing much to do I decided to start blogging so I can write my new experiences living in a different country.
