3 Cups of Coffee Today

I'm not a coffee lover like most people but I consumed three cups today at work. I felt so sleepy because there was nothing much to do in the office. I am a new employee so even if I would offer some help, it would still be useless because they have their own job functions which are totally different from mine and I'm not 100% familiar with the system yet. To kill my time, I busied myself browsing ebay. I have seen great stuffs in the website like paintings but I don't like the idea of buying online because the cost of shipping and handling is not always free. Anyway, going back and forth to the pantry for cups of caffeine helped me minimize my yawning. It really did until it was about time to leave.

Get Paid To Blog

Blogging is my way of creating a personal diary online where I can write the important events of my life. It’s my way of expressing my deepest thoughts, my ups and downs, my success and failures, and many more. Then I realize that blogging could also be a great source of extra income. I thought these making money online stuffs in the internet are all scam. I was wrong. Smorty is a legit blog advertising tool. It is a service company which connects advertisers with bloggers. With Smorty, a good friend of mine told me about her experience with blog for money. I got very excited so I signed up with them, submitted my blog account and got approved immediately. They give opportunities for bloggers like me to get paid for simply writing my opinions on things/topics I am interested about. It’s absolutely free to create an account with them. For payment purposes, all they require is a PayPal account and after writing a post, expect to get paid fast weekly. So if you want to earn extra income, check the website for more detailed information and blog requirements. Don’t waste your time, get paid for blogging!

Something To Look Forward To

We are very excited for a new development near our place. Outside the guard house, there is currently a billboard, advertising about retail spaces for lease. That is why months ago, they vacated the whole lot and I'm sure it will be for commercial purposes. Hopefully it will be a shopping center with famous stores/boutiques and restaurants. That would mean convenience and more shopping time for me since it will only be a walking distance from our house. Not only that, with this development, it will also benefit our house property value. It will surely appreciate the current market price of our house. We are so happy for this great news! It's really something to look forward to.

Cooking School

Cooking is something that I really would love to learn. Although it’s not my passion but having a little expertise in the kitchen would be great so I can cook really good food for my hubby. I remember last year, one of my “to do lists” before leaving the Philippines is to enroll in a culinary school. Unfortunately I was not able to because I got so busy with other important things. Now that I’m here, I would love to enroll myself in the future (if I have time). Are you planning to do the same thing? If so then I recommend you this CulinarySchoolFinder.com. It is a good source of finding culinary schools online. You can also search by careers in hotel and restaurant management or becoming a Sous Chef or Food Stylist. To find a chef school, check this website. You can also choose culinary schools by themes (French, Italian, Mexican, Thai, baking, pastry cooking schools) and many more.

Sleepless

I'm working six days a week and Sunday is my only off from work. Last night, I slept very late (2:30 AM) because my family and I spent four long hours talking on the internet via skype. Thanks to this free mode of communication, I don't have to spend for long distance calls like I used to when I got here the first few months. This morning the aroma of the maple bacon woke me up. I should have been sleeping until lunch time but I can't resist the smell of the food my hubby was preparing. Instead I got hungry and had a heavy breakfast. Then I busied myself with blogging while hubby was watching the Pacquiao-Marquez Boxing replay in HBO. And tomorrow will be another brand new week. Now I miss the days of being sleeping beauty all day!

There's Something Oysters Want To Tell You

I admit I am a seafood lover. I can eat as much as a large platter of combined sauteed shrimps, fried fish, grilled squid, steamed crabs and baked oysters in one sitting. We all know that they are good sources of nutrients and vitamins. But do you know that oyster in particular can give consumers the potential hazard associated with eating raw or undercooked oysters? Although they are not life-threatening to individuals, it is best to be aware of the consequences of raw oysters consumption. A recent research found out that serious illnesses may occur from Vibrio vulnificus bacteria. If you are not 100% healthy and are suffering from certain diseases like liver malfunction, diabetes or weak immune system, then it is extremely important to be cautious and be oyster aware. Remember, an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure.

Technical School

Everything nowadays is just a matter of clicks and you’ll get things done. We are living in a world where internet is considered a man’s best friend. Companies and industries are relying for this technology and qualified computer-related professionals to work for them. That is why there is a constant increase and huge demand in the information technology field. Are you considering IT training or maybe wants to switch a career? It is never too late. One technical school I came across the website offers technology careers and programs like IT Technology, Network Design & Engineering, Web Design and Development and many more. If you want to immediately start a career in IT, they also have certification training like Java, Microsoft, Webmaster, and CISCO in a short span of time. GPS Vehicle Tracking Device

I am sure most of you are very familiar with GPS (Global Positioning System) which are very useful in a lot of ways. One of them is getting immediate emergency road side assistance. Or if you want to plan a road trip with your family and friends, GPS can be of big help with its practical usage in maps navigation and road directions. Well, not all people have this photographic memory (when it comes to remembering road signs, landmarks, etc.) Some don’t have a good sense of direction while driving in the road especially if the place is not very familiar or not traveled often. I admit I am one of those who don’t have such good photographic memory. It so happen that my road direction is very poor. It’s easy for me to get lost when nobody’s sitting in the passenger seat to guide me. That is why GPS is a must but sometimes I can’t rely on it 100%. There’s a possibility of poor connection to the satellite feed where the GPS is situated.

You might be wondering why I’m talking about the importance of GPS. With its limitation when it comes to poor connection, a more advanced GPS technology is now available in the market but more applicable to services and trucking companies. The new product is called GPS Insight Vehicle Tracking System. It is a hardware and software-based vehicle tracking product. Companies, whose employees working on the field most of the time like delivery truck drivers and out of the office employees like sales people and service techs, should take advantage of this great product. Companies don’t have to keep on calling drivers or verifying them to provide their exact location and trip status. Its real time maps give updates every two minutes on vehicle locations to ensure a genuine proof of service which means no more fraudulent hours claimed by the drivers. The most important feature of this is the product’s ability to report to the company on the vehicles’ activity details, fuel consumption, speed violations, vehicle performance, odd hours, geofence violations and more. It also has a GPS Insight support for wiki customers. Qualified companies can avail of the free trial and expect a 30 money back guarantee. The product needs no contract, easy to install, and has the best mapping available. So if you are thinking of your company’s success and a brighter future, try this fantastic management tool. If you want to know more about this product, check the Blog for GPS vehicle tracking.

Virus On My Blog

I was really shocked when I noticed those pop-up ads in almost all my posts. In fact, I can't remember signing up for these ads, websites, whatever you call it. Then I thought of blog virus. So I asked my friend, Pinaysmile about it. She also had it before in her blog and took her awhile figuring out how to get rid of them but successfully got the virus out of her page. Everything seems so high tech nowadays. A blogpage is supposed to be our own private page but still very possible for some people to intrude our privacy. To other bloggers out there, if you happen to become their next victim, just check your html codes (especially in widgets) and remove them right away. When I checked my codes, I saw some unusual codes inserted on them. It is advisable to change your password also just to make sure. That's what I did and it works!

To Pinaysmile, thank you girl for your help. I really appreciate it.

Plus, overtime work pays great! Really great.

A Close Friend Is Leaving

I got some bad news today. One of my close friends here has to move to another state (Arizona). She's the very first Filipina I knew in the area. I met her in a party hosted by a friend who I met through friendster. Of all those people who attended, it's her who I got very close to and got to spend time malling, eating out, shopping, going to the grocery, etc. I'm sure she will be happier living in Arizona because two of her sisters are there. Anyway, life is like that. You can't expect people to stick around because sometimes circumstances keep you apart. It's very true, people just come and go. And now that I'm busy working, we can't hang out anytime we want like we used to. I hope I can make it up to her before she and her family leaves. Too sad but life must go on.

$1 For Vitamins

After a very busy day's work, I went to the mall. While strolling around I met this woman from the Philippines. She's on a tourist visa and visiting her daughter who married an American. We chit chat for awhile then continued my window shopping. One store caught my attention because I noticed a long line of customers in the cash register.

To my amazement, believe it or not these vitamins only cost $1 each. So I bought a lot of them. You might be wondering why I have all these. Well, I'm not planning for suicidal overdose. Instead, I will be sending them to my family, relatives and friends in the Philippines. I know these big bottles of vitamins are so expensive there. That is why I took advantage of the huge sale plus I got to pay only $0.79 cents each since I availed the free card membership. No need to worry about the expiration date. They will still be consumable until 2011!

The Famous Beverly Hills Plastic Surgery

Cosmetic surgery is very common nowadays. Women in general and even some men are not scared anymore to explore the endless possibilities of enhancing oneself. With actors and actresses being so open to the public about their experiences in dealing with their respective cosmetic surgeon and how they got the best results, people have opened their doors to improving their physical appearance as well. Since Hollywood is in California, Los Angeles breast implants are very common especially in Rodeo Drive. I’m sure there are countless models and celebrities who went through these life-changing cosmetic enhancement procedures. Why not? If this will improve the way you feel about yourself, and then why not go for it, right?

Rodeo plastic surgery offers excellent care to their patients. Their main priority is giving their patients outstanding services that they deserve. They have the best surgeons from the finest and prestigious universities in the country and well-trained medical staffs. So you are in good hands. And the most important thing is their state of the art facilities which are thoroughly inspected and certified by the Federal Government to assure the highest level of safety on the patient’s part.

Some of the procedures they specialize are Los Angeles tummy tuck, Mommy makeover , Beverly Hills facelift, breast augmentation and more. So if you are planning one of these procedures, you better put yourself in the most reliable, proven and tested cosmetic surgery center. I have seen a lot of worst results on TV about some people who went to the cheapest doctor but ended up regretting because they did not get the desired results. After the investigation they just found out later that those doctors are not certified and well-trained to do the procedures. It is sad but true. Rodeo drive may not be as cheap as you think but they provide financing options. So if ever you plan to improve your physical beauty, check the website and call for a consultation.

First Day At Work

Thank God, I got a new job offer from Wells Fargo Bank and it started today. I arrived at the building's parking lot around 7:45 a.m. I had mixed emotions. I felt nervous but excited at the same time. Then I went inside the building and looked for the supervisor. A black lady guard greeted me at the reception and dialed the extension line of the person I was looking for. Minutes later two geeky guys came in and were looking for the same person. There must be three new employees including me. While waiting at the lobby, I noticed employees coming in with their very professional look business attire. I did not notice any Asian or Mexican, just Caucasian and black. I hope racial discrimination among other races is not an issue in their corporate culture. Then came the introduction of oneself and meeting with some employees who came in early, the tour in the establishment, and the orientation. I was surprised with my huge cubicle where I will be working. There's so much privacy and space and I have a chair for whoever comes in. The training and brief procedures as well as the discussion of company policies lasted for an hour and then we proceeded immediately with some practice documents. The nature of the job is kind of difficult because it needs focus and keen to details is important. Employees there are so helpful and friendly. It's funny because I got lost in the building after getting my packed lunch which I left in the car. Thanks to the lady guard who assisted me. As she said "It's normal on the first day".

Make Up Tricks?

See how a little make up creates all the difference? That is why it's a must for most women especially these celebrities. When I saw these photos, I can't believe how they look like without these amazing beauty products. They appear so beautiful on advertisements, TV, and magazines but actually they're not as gorgeous as what you think. Well these are their natural beauty. No wonder they have their own make up artist!

I Lost My Phone

I have no choice but to get a new phone today. Too bad I lost it yesterday. Had I known that this would happen, we should have included the insurance in our plan. Well, what can I expect? It would be a miracle if someone found it and will return it to my home address. I'm not sure if there's a good Samaritan out there nowadays. Or at least someone will give me a call and say "hey your cellphone is stolen and I don't have any plan of returning it". LoL. As far as I remember, I checked my phone for new messages or missed calls in the restaurant where my friend and I had our lunch or maybe in the convenience store where my husband and I switched seats in the car and we did not noticed it dropped accidentally. So we have no choice but to extend our 2-year contract and pay a lesser price for a new phone (with insurance this time!).

A Gift From A Senator

My hubby brought these two bottles of strawberry jam from work. He has been working as an engineer in the US Senate for a while now. The nature of his job allow him to meet high profile people and even work with few of them in one of the four senate buildings in Washington DC. This one thoughtful senator handed him these gifts. That is just so nice of him. We were surprised. He deserves the senatorial seat! Such a nice man.

Plastic Surgery

Every time I watch TV, read fashion magazines, or pass by gigantic advertisements and billboards, all I see is images of perfect faces. Hollywood actors and actresses, celebrity models, beauty product endorsers, they all have one thing in common. That is maintaining their good looks and sexy well-toned bodies. That is how they got famous and being idolized by many (aside from having great talents). Flaunting their physical assets and talents allow them to earn really big bucks. You are considered lucky if you are genetically gifted but these so-called perfect genes are not possible for all human beings. Even the most beautiful model has his share of physical insecurities. Most people don’t want to look old and as much as possible they try to delay the effects of aging. That is why plastic surgery is very common nowadays. Although the magic of make up can do tricks and concealment, it is still not enough.

If you are considering a new look, Beverly Hills cosmetic surgery can help you take the first step to a lifestyle enhancement. As what I know plastic surgery could either be reconstructive procedure or cosmetic (also called aesthetic). Beverly Hills plastic surgeons specialize in both procedures. They offer breast augmentation, breast lift, tummy tuck, facelift surgery, and other nonsurgical techniques. Their aim is to provide you with exceptional surgical care. We all know this procedure is big deal so it’s better to go see the best doctor. Their on-site deluxe surgery center is equipped with the latest modern facilities and trained staff. Your safety is their number one priority. Worry about the cost? Well, they have created relationships with financial institutions. So you can have the cash right there and then for the procedure and pay only a reasonable amount in a monthly scheme.

Explore the website now and see for yourself the special care they provide to their customers. Who knows that could be you in the future. I might be considering this someday when I get old. I am not closing my doors. I am open to possibilities especially when it comes to staying beautiful.

My Favorite Perfume

I went shopping today with a friend. I tried to look for more working clothes, specifically the professional/business casual look. I was so excited as I entered the store's front door because they have so many sale items. Unfortunately, I can't find the right fit for me. Most apparel/garments they have are designed for typical American women sizes. That's usually my problem when it comes to buying clothes here in the US, it's just so hard to find stuffs for a petite size 4 like me. I did try fitting some clothes on until I got tired going back and forth to the fitting room. I just can't seem to find the perfect fit. While waiting for my friend shopping some kiddie stuffs for her daughter, I went to the perfume section and saw my favorite Lancome Miracle parfum. I immediately grabbed it and proceeded to the cash register. Instead of buying clothes, I ended up purchasing my favorite scent. I really love it! It made my day.

New Backback Design LOL

When I saw this photo I can't help but noticed the white plastic bag loaded with stuffs. Hmmm, I never thought its usefulness as a backpack. I guess this guy is heading for a long walk. I am just amazed how resourceful he is. Or maybe he just wants to carry it this way, not by hand. Kinda cool huh? A new backpack design. So instead of buying a new one, why not recycle used plastic bags? Hehehe...

Weird Road Signs

Which is which? Strange huh? Well these weird road signs are confusing but interesting. I'm sure they don't exist in the real road otherwise drivers will surely go nuts. If you were driving down the road and encounter these signs, which way will you go?
